New York City is teaming up with a major air carrier in an effort to boost tourism in the Big Apple. New York City will launch new ad campaigns targeting residents in Chicago and four other major cities. Its tourism office teamed up with American Airlines to offer fares to New York City for between $138 and $218. Those fares are available for purchase through this Friday.

New York City has seen a five percent decline in the number of visitors.
