The nearly century-old club is a group of professionals and community leaders dedicated to building better communities.
The school principal says the book donation was desperately needed and is appreciated by the students
"It's been a long time since Banneker has had shelves that were filled, bins that were filled, books that had recent copyright dates," Banneker Principal Verona S.E. Portis said.
The school also rededicated the library to Ryan Harris. Harris was a student at Banneker who was murdered in the summer of 1998. She was just 11 years old.
