A class of fourth graders was using that room at the time.
The teacher moved the students to a different room.
"Children were not harmed. They were immediately removed, relocated to another classroom and remained there until the area was secure," said Monique Bond, CPS spokesperson.
Bond tells us the school was not the target and it appears to have been random gunfire.
