The 31-year-old man went there to get tools he'd loaned to two men.
"We need our son home, their father, people who know him know he's not a bad person," said Maria Gines, mother.
Chicago police aren't talking about whether they have any leads in the case.
Gines is 5'11 and weighs 200 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes and a light olive complexion. According to police, he has some markings on his left arm.
