Bobcat Goldthwait

September 2, 2009 (PRESS RELEASE) Bobcat's writing and directing accomplishments continue to grow. In addition to his dark cult comedy, Shakes the Clown, Windy City Heat and the romantic comedy Sleeping Dog's Lie, comes his newest movie World's Greatest Dad.

The new film stars Bobcat's longtime friend Robin Williams. The new flick was made independently from the studio system (although this time Process and Darko Productions came on board and prevented any pawn shops from having to be involved). The cast was made up primarily of close friends.

World's Greatest Dad was completed in fall 2008 and is due for release summer of 2009. Bobcat's short film entitled Goldthwait Home Movies: Anniversary Edition also premiered this year at the 2009 Sundance Festival.

Bobcat has directed for many television shows including Chappelle's Show, the Man Show, and Crank Yankers. As a comic, he had 3 HBO specials and had appeared on the David Letterman show by the time he was 20, and has appeared in an innumerable slew of movies and was huge in the 80's, all of which has allowed him to live in an impossibly luxurious rental home in the Los Angeles area.
