Man gets 20 years for beating WWII vet

A judge sentenced a Munster man to 20 years in prison for beating a World War II veteran who tried to help him.Last June, Charles Allen Boswell pleaded guilty to aggravated battery and attempted residential entry.

Prosecutors say in November of 2006 Anthony Udowski took Boswell into his home to get him out of the cold. They say Boswell ended up severely beating the 83-year-old.

Udowski suffered severe head trauma and now lives in an Indianapolis nursing home.
