SkyWest restricting use of seat pockets

September 3, 2009 SkyWest flight attendants are telling passengers that they are restricted from putting items like sunglasses and water bottles in the seat pocket in front of them.

SkyWest operates more than 100 daily flights for United Express at O'Hare. The airline says it is following a several-year-old safety rule by the FAA that most airlines do not enforce.

SkyWest says the Federal Aviation Administration has asked them to enforce the rule.
