The Japanese research firm behind the report says the Walkman's lower price may have helped. It also says Apple may be competing against itself with more people buying the iPhone instead of the iPod.
Sony Walkman outsells iPod in Japan
September 4, 2009 Last week the Walkman digital music player outsold Apple's iPod music player among Japanese consumers. It's the first time in more than four years the Walkman has led sales.
