Also, the 20th annual African Festival of the Arts at 51st Street and Cottage Grove had something for just about everyone. There was a food court with all kinds of goodies, a beer garden and a marketplace featuring a wide variety of crafts. Sunday's performers include the Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist church choir, as well as George cCinton and Parliament Funkadelic.
"Train" was the sold out headliner Saturday night at the last fling in Naperville. The annual end of summer bash features carnival rides, a lot of food and plenty of free performances. The festivities resumes Monday at 10 a.m.
