Workers want hotel management to match wages and benefits paid at other hotels in the city.
The governor said on Labor Day that it was important to honor all workers as American heroes.
"They raise kids. They pay taxes. They work hard, and they're entitled to a decent wage, decent health care," Quinn said. "That's what it's all about."
Quinn delivered a letter to the owner and manager of the hotel asking him to settle the strike. He is away on vacation. So, he was not able to receive the letter or respond to it.
