Bond denied to coach-shooting suspect

September 8, 2009 (CHICAGO) Deangelo Williams, 21, of the10400-block of South State St., Chicago, was charged with attempted murder in the Sunday shooting of coach Glynn Hall. Hall was released from the hospital on Monday and is recovering at home.

The shooting happened at Abbott Park at 95th Street and Michigan Ave. in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood as an adult baseball league was playing a game.

League founder James McDowell said he's been told there may have been a dispute between Hall and a player over playing time. Williams was reportedly upset that Hall would not let him bat.

A relative told ABC7 Hall was shot twice in the back and once in each arm.

Williams will appear in court next on September 14.
