Judge grants Sanchez hearing

September 9, 2009 (NEW YORK) Sanchez was convicted in March in a scheme to rig city hiring. His lawyer says prosecutors failed to make a pre-trial disclosure that a key government witness was in a street gang.

U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman -who presided over Sanchez' trail - says Sanchez deserves an evidentiary hearing into the allegations.
