The incident happened last Wednesday afternoon in the 7400-block of North Greenview.
The 10-year-old girl was crossing the alley when a man driving a white pick-up truck offered to drive her home. The girl told someone nearby what was happening, and the offender took off.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man with a mustache and dark complexion, 35 - 40 years old and driving a white pickup truck with a black stripe.
Police say the man was wearing a blue baseball cap and spoke only Spanish to the victim.
