WSJ to charge for mobile access

September 16, 2009 In the next two months, it will cost to get mobile access to the Wall Street Journal.

Subscribers to the Journal's print edition will be charged one dollar a week. Non-subscribers will pay $2 a week for the mobile reading application.

The Wall Street Journal already charges for internet access to news. It's hoped the mobile access fee will help build revenue.

Both circulation and print advertising revenue has dropped.
