Police in Lemont say they were notified by a family member that a 31-year-old woman and a 5-month-old baby had been abducted.
A ransom request was received by the family as police and FBI agents watched the 62nd Street house.
The woman and child were unharmed.
Three Chicago residents have been arrested. Charges were pending.
