Jorge Mena, 20, died at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn after, police say, he was shot one time Saturday.
Orland Park residents Brandon E. Hambrick, 21; Elry R. Lyle, 19; and Fadi A. Alkarim, 19, have all been charged with one count of first-degree murder.
The shooting at 9735 Ravinia Court occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. Saturday. Police say investigators have determined that the victim was killed during an attempt by the suspects to steal illegal drugs.
Police say they found a significant amount of cannabis on the scene, as well as a handgun believed to have been used in the crime.
