Cubs' Bradley suspended for season

September 20, 2009 (CHICAGO) General Manager Jim Hendry apparently got tired of Bradley's attitude.

Bradley was rude when a reporter asked him why he took himself out of Thursday's game without a pinch runner ready after a hit. The last straw came when he criticized the Cubs in a Daily Herald interview.

Cubs fans were reacting to the news Sunday night.

"You cannot have someone on a team that creates a negative cancer that brings the other players and team members down," one unidentified fan told ABC7 Chicago.

"If you're gonna play for the team, then you should support the team and be there 100 percent," said another.

"Of course, you've gotta blame the players. Can't blame the press or anything. They don't go out there and play," a third fan said.

Bradley signed a three-year, $30 million contract last off-season.
