Report recommends pregnant exercise

September 21, 2009 The first finds low-impact aerobics are safe and beneficial throughout pregnancy. The exercise may also help prevent excessive newborn weight.

The second study should be reassuring to women. It found pregnant women can fly with no worries as long as they don't have any complications. The report did say, like all airline passengers, pregnant women should move their legs to avoid blood clots, avoid restrictive clothing, drink liquids and get up and walk around.

Both studies appear in the journal Obstetrics and Gynecology.
