According to the suit, Mr. Mendoza was operating a CTA bus that cut off Sgt. O'Grady, who was on his bike, near State and Monroe. Sergeant O'Grady allegedly got off his bicycle, boarded the bus and beat the driver. He then reportedly got off the bus, but decided to come back on and attack Mendoza again.
Bus driver sues city, sergeant
September 22, 2009 (CHICAGO) Ricardo Mendoza and Alma Delia Mendoza filed a federal lawsuit against Sergeant Thomas O'Grady and the City of Chicago. They are seeking more than $1 million.
