Chicago designers to dress Olympic delegation

September 22, 2009 (CHICAGO) The designers include neckwear designer Lee Allison, clothing brand Hart Schaffner Marx, and renowned designer Maria Pinto.

According to a Chicago 2016 news release, it is customary for bid delegations to wear official apparel.

Members of Chicago 2016 were dressed alike when the evaluation team from the International Olympic Committee was in Chicago back in April.

Tokyo's bid team hired a designer to come up with the uniform for its bid leaders. While the Chicago 2016 look is being kept under wraps.

Gov. Quinn, who is joining the delegation that's traveling to Copenhagen, revealed on Tuesday he has received his fitting.

"The Olympic athletes they come into the stadium and they have the same United States uniform and I believe they wanted something that shows Chicago and Illinois at its best," said Gov. Pat Quinn, (D) Illinois.
