A weekend crash in Wisconsin has claimed the life of a suburban man and injured two others. Alexander Hartung, 21, of Dekalb died from injuries he suffered Sunday night. He was a passenger in a car that hit a tree in Bass Lake.

Police in Wisconsin say Hartung's friend, Mark Rhine, 22, of Buffalo Grove was driving the car. He suffered serious injuries and is hospitalized in Duluth, Minnesota. Another passenger, Paul Mesher of Arlington Heights, was also seriously injured.

Investigators in Wisconsin say alcohol is believed to have played a role in the crash.
