New hearing aid receiving good reviews

People with moderate hearing loss report good results with a new hearing aid called the Lyric. The device fits deep in the ear. Because of that positioning, the microphone is right by the ear drum.

Users says the device provides better sound quality with less feedback than other hearing aids. Wearers control the volume and turn the device on and off with a remote.

The Lyric must be replaced every two to three months, when batteries fade.

The hearing aid is expensive. A two-year supply costs close to $4,000.
