Search continues for gang leader after raid

October 8, 2009 (CIHCAGO) A tip lead officers to a home near 94th and Emerald late Wednesday. Inside, police say they found a shotgun, two submachine guns, 10 handguns, cash, and about 250 grams of cocaine.

"The narcotics estimated street value approximately 18 thousand dollars. The weapons, they're all high end weapons, I'm not a big gun expert, but it's a substantial amount of money for guns," said James O'Grady, Chicago Police Department.

A 43-year- old gang leader is the police department's prime suspect. They say he is a source of drugs and guns in the neighborhood. The search for him continues this afternoon.

The bust happened not too far from several schools, including Fenger High School.
