Officer attacked in South Side alley

October 8, 2009 (CHICAGO) Salvador Carlin, 22, and Donna Duenes, 18, face the most serious charges of aggravated battery of a police officer.

Investigators say the 50-year-old officer encountered the group while investigating a loud disturbance in an alley in the 5600-block of South Meade.

Police say the officer announced his position and was then punched in the face and body. He was treated and released.

The other suspects charged in the attack all face misdemeanors.
