A church music director is charged with sexual assault. Forty-year-old David Gardner of Chicago is accused of assaulting six girls between the ages of 13 and 16.

Gardner also works as a laborer for the City of Chicago. It is unclear which department he works for.

Investigators say the incidents took place at Gardner's home and at a West Side church where he served as music director.

Prosecutors say a secretly recorded conversation with a 15-year-old girl led to his arrest.
