Chicago Police use laser on ''Sue''

Training exercise may shed new light
October 10, 2009 (CHICAGO) On Saturday they scanned Sue's skeleton using the department's new high-tech, laser scanning equipment.

Besides uncovering new information about the giant 65 million year old dinosaur, doing the scan was a way to train officers on the new equipment.

Officers collected information from a number of spots. Experts will put that all together to create a 360-degree image. They say they think the scan will provide new information about Sue such has how she moved.
