Live snails seized at O'Hare

October 16, 2009 (CHICAGO) A U.S. Customs and Border Protection canine named Shelby and her handler found two containers of live snails inside checked baggage from London.

Snails are banned from entry to the United States, except if they are accompanied by proper permits.

No charges have been filed.
