Man struck, killed by car

Chicago police are looking for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian on Chicago's West Side and then fled the scene Saturday morning at Cicero and Roosevelt.The driver is said to have dragged the victim down a stretch of Cicero Avenue near the border between Chicago and Cicero before driving off. Authorities from both municipalities responded to the scene.

Detectives from Chicago's District 15 are on the case. They're looking for dark colored, possibly purple Pontiac.

No one is in custody, but according to a news photographer that was on the scene there were two men in the vehicle. Anyone who might have seen something or with information that could lead to that car or to the driver is encouraged to call police.

The victim, has not been identified by the medical examiner as of yet, except to say he is a male.
