A special preview party, hosted by the Joffrey Circle Associates, a dynamic new group of Chicago's young professionals and ballet enthusiasts, will offer guests the first opportunity to peruse and purchase, Tuesday, October 27, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. A donation of $20 is requested, with all proceeds from the wine & cheese reception and sale benefiting the world renowned Joffrey Ballet. The Costume Vault sale is open to the public Wednesday, October 28, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
With prices starting at only $25, the colorful collection includes costumes from Jamboree, A Wedding Bouquet, Illuminations, William Tell, Love Songs and more, along with accessories such as shoes, hats and props. More contemporary items will come from the closets of Chicago's most fashionable ballet fans.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for enthusiasts to view the vibrant history of the Joffrey. Each unique piece is truly a piece of art," said Joffrey Circle Associates Event Co-Chair Gretchen Klotz. Klotz's co-chairs on the Joffrey Circle Associates Event Committee are Corinne Melchior and Nico Rodriguez; the Committee includes: Jennifer Anton, Lauren Bukrey, Torey Chambers, Aleksandra Efimova, Katrina Hochstetler, Melissa Mickey, Jenny Pickell, Stephanie Silvestre, Emily Strobel, and Laurie Toth.
