The car ended up on the raised sidewalk and became wedged between the concrete wall and the steel support beams of the viaduct.
The damage to the car was so extensive, it was barely recognizable.
The driver was the only person in the car. He's been identified as Stas Shilman, 31, from New York State.
Police suspect Shilman was speeding when he lost control and crashed.
