Rush introduces youth violence bill

November 2, 2009 (CHICAGO) Rush introduced a bill he believes will combat youth violence across the nation. He expects congressional bi-partisan support for the annual $25 million program.

Rush said the grants will fund conflict resolution programs in schools nationwide.

Rush said, "Conflict resolution should be as central to the curriculum of our high school students across the nation as learning the American Constitution."

Rush added that learning conflict resolution skills should be required for graduation and that without these programs all students are at risk.
