Illinois students address cyber-bullying

November 3, 2009 (CHICAGO) On Tuesday, Attorney General Lisa Madigan joined students at Springfield's Lincoln Magnet School to kick off the contest.

The students are making posters or electronic messages addressing Internet safety, specifically cyber-bullying.

Madigan said, "Bullied kids are much more likely to harass others online -- and its really one of the reasons why cyber bullying and online harassment are among the most common risks that students and kids face in the internet."

The contest winners will be announced next May.
