TVs could be hot holiday item

November 19, 2009 Almost 40 percent of TVs are sold at the end of the year. Retailers have conditioned us to expect big holiday price drops.

But the sale prices this year may not be as low. One reason is because demand in China is creating less inventory here.

One way to find the best price is to use an online comparison site like pricegrabber.com. It lists prices from retailers all across the Web to show you the best deals.

You can also set up an e-mail alert, so you'll get a message when the price on your TV drops

Even after you buy your TV, you should track the price because many stores have a price guarantee. Priceprotectr.com can help you with that. Tell the site where you bought your TV, when you bought it and how much you paid. Priceprotectr tracks the price and e-mails you with any changes.
