According to the police report obtained by the Chicago Tribune, Kelly said to his girlfriend, "It's my life. Tell them they won, tell them they won."
The report did not specify who Kelly was talking about. But at the time, the government was pressuring Kelly to testify against former governor Rod Blagojevich.
Police have ruled Kelly's death a suicide.
