Study: Better circulation is ginko's only benefit

November 26, 2009 Researchers at the Univ. of Pittsburgh gave more than 3,000 patients ginkgo or a placebo and tracked the patients for six years.

The scientists found no benefit in taking ginkgo except one: they say it might help prevent peripheral artery disease, a circulation problem that affects the legs.

The findings will be published in the journal Circulation.
