Consumers warned about shopping online

The Better Business Bureau is reminding consumers who are shopping for electronics deals online to watch out for certain red flags. The organization says the old rule of thumb plays a big role here; if the price is too good to be true, there is probably a catch.

You should avoid web sites with spelling or grammar errors.

Also, you might want to avoid businesses that accept wire transfer payments only.

The group says even if you see a seal from certifying organizations, be wary.

When you click on the seal, you should be directed to the certifier's web site.

If not, the Better Business Bureau says it's most likely a scam.
