Christmas Around the World features more than 50 trees decorated by volunteers from Chicago's ethnic communities to reflect holiday traditions from around the globe and has been a tradition for area families since 1942.
"America's Home" in The White House: A Look Inside. This temporary exhibit, running through Feb. 15, 2010, details the history, people and stories behind 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The spectacular White House in miniature is the highlight of the experience, and you are invited to explore a gorgeously detailed, 60-by-13 foot, large-scale replica of the one of the world's most well-known homes-a a part of the cultural fabric of America.
