Nearly two weeks after her body was found in an alley, Jahmeshia Conner was laid to rest Saturday. The 12-year-old girl's life was honored through music, stories and dance during her funeral at New Covenant Missionary Baptist church.

The O'Toole elementary school cheerleader was found dead November 30.

Conner's passing has outraged many in her community because they contend that police characterized her disappearance as that of a runaway and did not issue an Amber Alert.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction of Jahmeshia's killer. Anyone with information about the girl's death is asked to call Chicago police.
