A South Side church came to the rescue Sunday of a family whose holiday presents were stolen by vandals on Christmas day."Thank you for all the love and support. It feels great," said Monique Rose, who was thrilled with a belated Christmas given to her and her two children, courtesy of members of Christ Universal Pentecostal Church.

Rose's apartment was burglarized on the evening of December 25. The children's clothes, toys, and the family computer were stolen.

Thanks to the church's effort, the family now has new clothing and toys to replace what was lost.
