MLK Day effort trades guns for chance at jobs

Several groups united in an effort to get guns off the streets on this Martin Luther King Day.Guns were turned in at the Creative Salon on 16th Street and Pulaski on Chicago's West Side Monday.

Construction workers at the new MLK complex helped coordinate the effort and served as an inspiration.

ABC7 is told that those who handed in guns were allowed to get on a waiting list for a construction job.
