Chicagoans experience 'Polar Adventure Day'

Visitors to Chicago's Northerly Island got a hands-on arctic experience Saturday.The Chicago Park District held its fifth annual Polar Adventure Day. The wintry fun included ice sculpture displays, along with live animals including Siberian huskies and birds of prey.

There was also a storytelling corner and a crafts table.

Just to make sure guests didn't get too cold on their polar adventures, the first 500 visitors got a free cup of hot chocolate.
