11,000 jobs to be cut from Sam's Club

Wal-Mart announced Sunday it is cutting more than 11,000-thousand jobs at its Sam's Club Warehouse division.The terminations represent about 10 percent of the warehouse club's staff across the country. Employees were told at mandatory meetings Sunday morning.

Most of the cuts are related to the decision to outsource the food-sampling department.

Earlier in January, Sam's announced plans to close some poor-performing warehouse clubs, including the one in Rolling Meadows, Ill.
