A suburban school district approved more than $5 million in budget cuts, but that may not be enough. Oswego District 308 School Board approved the reductions by a 6-1 vote.

The cuts include the elimination of approximately 80 positions, including 68 support staff. There will also be operations and program cuts. And the district plans to add fewer teachers as enrollment grows.

District officials say they will announce more proposed cuts next month. You can read more about the school cuts in our news partner The Daily Herald.
