Iraqi Americans in the Chicago-area are casting their votes in their homeland's parliamentary elections.

A polling place in Glenview is one of nine locations across the U.S. for out-of-country voting.

The United Nations refugee agency estimates that around 2 million Iraqis are living abroad after fleeing since the 2003 US-led invasion.

Voting is being held in 16 countries across the globe. The balloting will go on for 3 days.

The election will be held in Iraq on Sunday-- choosing a 325-seat legislature that will form the next government.
