Chicagoans turn out for Shamrock Shuffle

The outdoor running season is now under way in Chicago.The 31st annual Shamrock Shuffle 8K Race stepped off Sunday morning from Monroe and Columbus.

Approximately, 36,000 people registered for the run.

It was chilly, but for the most part, the weather cooperated.

Last year, participants had to run through a snowy, slushy mess.

The race traveled through many Loop streets before ending where it started in Grant Park. Runners were then treated to a post-race party.
