Big push to mail in census forms

The Census Bureau is making another big push to encourage people to mail their census forms.

So far about 66 percent of U.S. households have filled out the forms and sent them back. In Chicago that number is slightly lower at 56 percent.

Starting May 1 census workers will go door to door to get the forms filled out.

The census is used to distribute billions of dollars in federal aid and determines the number of seats each area has in the House of Representatives.
