April 20, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Gates posed a question to students and teachers at the University of Chicago Tuesday night.

"The question of whether the best minds are working on the most important problems," said Gates.

He hopes to inspire students and teachers to focus on the world's biggest problems -- including health, hunger and poverty.

Gates left his full-time duties at Microsoft to devote his energy to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which works to help people around the world.
