Blackhawks up 3-2; eager for semifinals

April 25, 2010 (NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Yes, they blew the chance to go up 3-2 in their opening-round series with the Chicago Blackhawks along with the opportunity to return home to clinch a trip to the Western Conference semifinals for the first time in the franchise's history.

Worse, it all happened with 13.6 seconds left.

Nashville defenseman Dan Hamhuis says they feel they can bounce back again Monday night to avoid elimination.

But he is very sore after being boarded by Marian Hossa in Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss.

The NHL had a hearing with Hossa on Sunday and executive vice president Colin Campbell said in a statement that the play does not warrant additional discipline because "Hossa is not a repeat offender and that the call of a major penalty by the referee was significant and appropriate."
