Franklin Park contamination hospitalizes 8

April 28, 2010 (FRANKLIN PARK, Ill.) Workers at the Fresh Express company in Franklin Park mixed lactic acid with water for cleaning purposes. But it appears the container they use was contaminated with something else.

The mixture caused breathing problems and eye irritation.

None of their injuries is serious, and the company was operating Wednesday morning.
