Students at a private school on Chicago's Northwest Side got some welcome news Wednesday. Luther North High School will remain open for at least one more year.

Last month, the principal told 210 students that barring a miracle the 100-year-old school would close at the end of this school year. But the board of trustees is negotiating with a potential buyer so the school will re-open in the fall.

Officials hope a deal will be reached so the school will stay open indefinitely.
